About the project
When Patrik reached out to me, asking if I would be up to the task of creating him a new website, his current website hadn’t been updated since the early 2000’s. Needless to say, it was outdated, un-responsive, and not in line with the professionality of his works.
After a couple of meetings where we aligned on the structure and need for the site, I put together a suggested brand guide, where drawing from the colors in his images, I suggested a quite dark color palette of dark blue with the contrasting yellow, which are both found in most of his photos.
Patrik is not shy with the colors in his photography. They are bright, bold and almost golden. That's why I decided that the website's colors should reflect that as well.
I absolutley loved working with this website. I was creating each page as I went along, but somehow the red thread seemed to develop itself along the way.
Since the launch, the website has received so much compliments and praise and opened the door for even more project requests. But most importantly, Patrik was incredibly pleased with the look, feel and functionality of the website. It was important that he could continue with the updates himself post-launch, so the website was created in WordPress using the app Elementor for the design, which results in Patrik having full control of the continued updates and can change any elements he wants to going forward. Having his old website be hard coded and difficult to adjust, he has been very pleased with the new CMS.
